This rare, peaceful version of Shrovetide carnival is always held on the Sunday – 8 days before Shrove Monday. Influenced by the tradition of the Italian city of Venice, the focus of this festival is the fanciful masks and costumes.

Approximately a hundred masked locals parade through Schwäbisch Hall transforming the town into a truly magical place. The beginning of the parade which takes place on the steps of St. Michaels church will also inspire you. Enjoy this colorful, silent feast for the senses!
